Presentation Summary: In this presentation, Patti Plett, PhD student, OT Reg. (MB), discusses disability and homelessness from a critical disability lens.
Speaker Biography: Patti Plett is a PhD student in the Faculty of Health Sciences, and a member of the Social Justice in Mental Health Research Lab at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. She is also an Occupational Therapist with more than 15 years experience in community-based mental health practice, primarily within the homeless and forensic sectors. Her research focuses include belonging following homelessness and more recently, disability and homelessness. Patti is a wheelchair user and has lived experience with hidden homelessness.
