Tiny Homes and Sleeping Cabins
Tiny homes and sleeping cabins are increasingly being advocated for and used to respond to homelessness. In this line of research, we explore these approaches, and call for the need to evaluate outcomes associated with tiny homes and sleeping cabins in comparison with other approaches.

Better than Nothing? A Scoping Review on Tiny Homes and Sleeping Cabins as a Response to Homelessness in High-Income Countries
The scope of research on tiny homes and sleeping cabins as a response to homelessness in high income countries is not well-known. In this research, we conducted a scoping review of seven databases coupled with a grey literature search, and identified 116 articles meeting our inclusion criteria, which we synthesized in this review. Our findings reveal a dire lack of evidence demonstrating the effectiveness of tiny homes and sleeping cabins for supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. In this research, we call for the need for distinguishing between tiny homes and sleeping cabins, the need for future effectiveness research that compares tiny homes and sleeping cabins with other models, and a critical perspective on sleeping cabins as a specific strategy.
