Presentation Summary: In this session, Anthony Colonello (PhD student and Registered Psychotherapist) reframes stigma as a health care priority. He will share findings from his recent review to map the current body of research on stigma among people with personality disorders.


Speaker Biography: Anthony Colonello is a PhD student in Health & Rehabilitation Sciences: Health Promotion and a member of the Social Justice in Mental Health Research Lab at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. He practices psychotherapy across Canada as a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario and a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Alberta. Anthony’s research explores the intersection of stigma and personality disorders, focusing on how social media influences public discourse and shapes health care interactions. With a passion for mental health advocacy, he is dedicated to fostering conversations about mental health through the integrated perspectives of sociology and psychology.
